ZTE is making a proper return to India later this quarter with the launch of 10 new smartphones in the country. The company has originally indicated that it will be making a return for the Indian market this year, but now the company could launch an entire portfolio of 4G VoLTE products.

The company is planning to target a wide array of device types and price points. While the company would not be dabbling in the tablet market, it will be focusing on smartphones, wearables, and IoT products for the smart home concept. ZTE is looking at a hybrid strategy. Focus will be on offline as it is 70 percent of the market. It will have a separate set of SKUs available for online. ZTE also intends to have India-specific products. For this, the firm will be investing in Make in India program and will also be introducing a new OS tailored for the Indian market. The company also intends to tie up with local service and content providers and integrate them with its own devices.
