Bharti Airtel is down by 1.8 percent on Friday and is pulling the BSE Telecom down. Bharti Airtel alone if contributing to almost 50 percent of the BSE Telecom index fall.
The BSE telecom index is down by almost 1.51 percent or 20 points at 1281 levels.
GTL Infra and IDEA are the top losers in the index and are down by almost 3 percent each.
Reliance communication is down by 1.6 percent, Tata communication is down by 1 percent.
MTNL is up by nearly 4.5 percent and is the top index gainer.
Broader markets are reeling under pressure on back of poor global cues even as the Asian markets trade mixed.
Bharti Airtel Ltd is currently trading at Rs 354.3, down by Rs 5.95 or 1.65 percent from its previous closing of Rs 360.25 on the BSE
The scrip opened at Rs 362.8 and has touched a high and low of Rs 362.85 and Rs 353.15 respectively. So far 1379978(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter.
The current market cap of the company is Rs 144006.34 crore.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 400.65 on 23-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 283.95 on 09-Nov-2016.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 369.45 and Rs 356.55 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14 percent while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.39 percent and 6.44 percent respectively.
