Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. is likely to post over threefold jump in its operating profit at Rs.2000 crore for fiscal 2016.
BSNL was in a heavy loss. The regulatory brought it in an operating profit of Rs.672 crore in the first year. By end of August, when final audited result will be declared, BSNL is likely to strike an operating profit of over Rs.2000 this year. BSNL is in the process of preparing its financial results for fiscal 2016. Before this, the state-run firm had posted an operating profit of Rs.916 crore in 2012-13. The company registered a total income of Rs.28,645 crore and net loss stood at Rs.8234 crore in 2014-15.
