India's one of the leading telecom operators- Telenor India announced a new data recharge bonanza for its UP East customers on the eve of World Telecom Day. Customers recharging with special tariff voucher (STV) 57 on World Telecommunication Day that is May 17, 2017 will get an additional 1 GB 2G data at no extra cost, said the company.

Normally STV 57 comes with 650 MB 2G data with a validity of 28 days. With the special offer Telenor UP East customers would be able to avail additional 1 GB 2G data only at Rs 57. Company claimed, "This makes STV 57 the most economical and affordable value pack in the market. The additional 1 GB offer is available only if recharging is done on World Telecommunication Day."

Announcing the additional benefit, KC Narendran, Circle Business Head of UP East, Telenor India said, "On the World Telecommunication Day, I thank all Telenor customers for their love and support they have extended to us over these years. As a token of appreciation, we wanted to make the mobile data experience special for them by bringing a unique offer on this day. By recharging with STV 57 on May 17, they will get an additional 1 GB data for 28 days at no extra cost. Telenor has also rolled out similar data benefits for their customers across other circles in India to celebrate World Telecom Day. Customers can avail this offer at any of the nearest retail outlets offering Telenor connection."
